Case Number History
This section simply identifies the court’s case number assigned to this particular case.

From the CASE DETAIL screen:
A case number can be automatically assigned a number of ways, or it can be generated manually. Common ways to automatically assign a case number is when a case is added, when the state’s decision is added, or when a filed statute is added.
To add a new case number:
Click on Add to get to the Case Number Detail screen.
- Case number: Type the case number in. Do not use spaces or dashes, use all capital letters, and put 6 numbers after the case type.
Click on the UPDATE button or press ALT+U to save your changes.
To edit a case number:
Click on the existing case number, then make any changes necessary.
Click on the UPDATE button or press ALT+U to save your changes.
To generate a new case number:
Click on Add to get to the Case Number Detail screen.
Click the generate button at the bottom of the screen. This will automatically assign the next sequential number for that case type.
